Our Upcoming project
VISHWAKENDRA FOUNDATION’s Crafts Village Project will aim at capacity building and updating the traditional skills of master craftsmen and artisans.These trained master craftsmen and artisan will train the minority youths in various specific traditional arts and crafts.

1, Up-gradation of Skills and Training in Traditional Arts and Crafts through Institutions.
2, VISHWAKENDRA FOUNDATION Fellowship for Research and Development.
3, Support to Craft Museum for Curating Traditional Arts and Crafts.
4, Support to Minority Craftsmen and Artisans for Marketing their Products.
India is known for its traditions and culture. Minority communities in India are known for their traditional skills, arts and crafts.But due to forces of competitive market and globalization, and also due to deteriorating socio-economic condition of master craftsmen and artisan, these skills are not being pursued by the young generation.
To build capacity of master craftsmen and artisans and training of young generation through the master craftsmen and artisans for traditional arts and crafts.
Set up standards of identified arts and crafts and their documentation.
To establish linkages of traditional skills with the global market.
To improve employability of existing workers, school dropouts etc.
To generate means of better livelihood for marginalized minorities and bring them in the mainstream.
To enable minorities to avail opportunities in the growing market.
To ensure dignity of labour.
Design development and Research in traditional arts and crafts.
Up-gradation of Skills and Training in Traditional Arts and Crafts through Institutions.
Identification of traditional skills and crafts being practiced by minority communities.
Setting standards of the identified crafts.
Documentation of the identified crafts.
Design development and research.
Development of course curriculum for master craftsmen and trainees.
Monitoring, assessment and certification of the training.
Any other activity which Our Foundation feels necessary for the preservation and promotion of traditional skills and crafts.
